CMYC Small Yacht Series S9

Nine very lucky sailors enjoyed a fantastic, full days sailing in winds ranging from 8 to 15 mph generally from the west direction.
A simple anti clockwise course was set by Barry and Peter with Cliff acting as race officer with ten races of two large laps each race.
Welcome back to Rocka who sailed very well after his long absence and lack of practice.
Rigs varied between A+ and A with both proving difficult due to too much wind or not enough. Luckily weed wasn’t much of a problem thanks to the weeding parties hard work and this together with clean sensible rule observance made the days sailing so enjoyable.
Peter made some rig changes which turned his dragon into some type of rocket and led the fleet for most of the time.
The boats racing included a Graupner, affinity’s and dragons with no clear advantage of one type.
Several sailors stayed on to make most of the conditions until six o’clock when the dinghy sailors started to arrive to the lake.
Once again, a wonderful day’s sailing with minimum weed and gear problems.
