The club was established at Lake 9 on the Cotswold Water Park, over 30 years ago, when the club had to source another sailing venue, as its, then, home water was given over to an angling venue. The club steadily grew, at its new location, with some well known names in Radio Controlled sailing having been a member here, at sometime. The club has seen some highs, with National championship racing being hosted here and some lows where the club had to consider closing. The club is currently recovering from a low, and rebuilding its membership and activity schedule. Focusing on IOM and small yacht fleets (RG65, DF65, Micro Magic, etc.) and club level competitions, mainly midweek, with good plans for next year. There is a good, friendly, atmosphere, for all skippers, of any level of ability, with any class of model yacht, to take part in “social” or “competitive” activities.
Our facilities are 1st class, with private access, parking at the side of the sailing area, jetty for yacht launching at water level, level ground along the sailing area and with “his and hers” facilities. Everything that is needed for a good sailing session, regardless of your health and mobility.
