Despite the date the temperature today was more like summer than winter. Cloudy skies and gusty winds saw conditions at the very top of A rig and some considered changing to B rigs but in the end the clouds blew through and the skies cleared to give blue sky and lightening winds as the day wore on.
The course set was an anticlockwise rectangle with some cracking reaches and runs giving exciting conditions. Racing started at just after 1230pm and was run to very strict schedule by Barbara – we actually managed 13 races before losing the wind and light. With 6 IOM and one new DF95 it turned out to be a wonderful days sailing with leads changing frequently and JT, Roger, Cliff and Paul all winning at some stage. We also had a visitor, Derek Butterworth, who has asked for membership forms.
